The TRAILBLAZER project (TRansport and Innovation Logistics by Local Authorities with a Zest for Efficiency and Realisation) is a new European project which aims to promote best practice in freight energy efficiency amongst local and regional authorities and the private sector in Europe, and transfer knowledge and experience between experienced and less experienced organizations.  This event, held in Sutton on 27-28 January 2011, launched the initiative and a workshop also considered the issue of Delivery and Servicing Plans (DSPs) which are the key strategy documents that can help to cut costs by managing deliveries more effectively and energy use and emissions.
