Climate Action has been produced in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) from its launch in 2007, to encourage businesses and organizations to reduce their carbon footprint, highlighting that environmentally responsible operations can also be profitable. Produced to coincide with the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP) held in December of each year, the launch edition was distributed in Bali in 2007, the second edition in Poznan in 2008, the third edition in Copenhagen in 2009. This latest edition has been released for COP16 held in Cancun, Mexico on 29th November - 10th December 2010. This issue contains articles under the following headings: Policy and governance; Energy and mitigation; Technology and business; Finance and markets; Sustainable forest management and agriculture; Ecosystem based adaptation. The regional focus of this issue is Latin America.
