The report summarises local authority activity relating to climate change adaptation and mitigation and the resources and support required to continue their work in this area. The report shows that: nearly two thirds of the authorities who responded (65 per cent) have completed a climate change strategy/action plan; a large majority of authorities who responded (80 per cent) had a portfolio holder for climate change; there is some concern about the future ability of authorities to develop their work around climate change, with two-fifths of respondents predicting a decline in internal budgets for this work.
