City Climate Cataloguehttp://www.iclei-europe.org/index.php?id=6860 The City Climate Catalogue is the first global attempt to collect and centralise facts and figures on community climate action, from targets to achievements. It has been developed and will be used by the City of Copenhagen, host of the COP 15 (15th Conference of the Parties) in December 2009, together with ICLEI, during the current international climate negotiations on a post-2012 global climate agreement. The purpose of the catalogue is to draw attention to ambitious local climate agendas prior to and during the COP 15. It also serves to emphasise the argument that communities are important actors and should be included in the United Nations climate collaboration. Results collected by mid-November 2009 will be included in a promotional tool used at both COP 15 and at the Copenhagen Climate Summit for Mayors. This catalogue is a supportive element of the Copenhagen Climate Summit for Mayors (www.climatesummitformayors.dk) taking place in parallel with 15th Conference of the Parties (COP 15). |
